Lets keep this review simple. Meek Mill is my rookie of 2011 hands down! He’s fierce, menacing, and has an urgent delivery that demands attention and to be respected. Although some folks may find his voice annoying, he follows in a traditional legacy of great MC’s before him. Mill demands your attention like Run, KRS-One, and DMX. Mill flexes confidence…not “swag” throughout his latest mixtape Dream Chasers 2 (And fpr the record, my people, swag needs to go ahead and die. For real).

Pluto…the Album. The most anticipated down south album in months is finally here! “Astronauts,” where do I start? The last time I saw this much frenzy in Atlanta was during the BMF days with the biopic Southern classic “Thug Motivation 101.” Pluto doesn’t really reach that caliber but Future has created – and stayed – in his tailored lane in hip-hop. Keeping him in shape as a rap contender is the retro, furious, crank up the club banger “Same Damn Time.” Good to see that this joint is catching on in clubs above the Mason-Dixon line.
First of all, it’s good to hear T.I.P talk shit. He sets up shop by saying “it’s time to take it back to the original A-Town” which for him is that trap-gangsta street music. Love it! T.I.P has had this pit bull attitude since I’ve known him. . .he’s been in the game 15 years and nothing’s changed, including no apologies for devouring the weak! Short answer? Dude is still a beast. T.I.P. is an example of what an artist should be. I’m calling T.I.P. and Jeezy the last of the Mohicans when it comes to this Dirty South genre.
